This cozy island style tastefully decorated airconditioned smoke-free studio unit (remodeled in 2008) on the top floor of Kihei Bay Surf Resort (is located across the street from Kalepolepo beach park and whale sanctuary in sunny Kihei, South Maui, Hawaii. Furniture is good. All appliances work fine. I especially liked water filter, large flat TV, DVD collection, internet access and printer (this one turned out very useful to print airplane boarding passes after online registration). The TV, internet, ipod dock, and DVD player all worked great and really added to the experience. The pool is nice, laundry facilities work well. No problems with parking, noisy neighbors, or checking in. The view from the porch is great too; nothing like eating a ripe mango out there in the morning! Kihei is a good central location on the island, it is right on the beach and where most of the boats leave to visit Molokini for snorkeling or SCUBA diving (a must see). Burmy, Minnesota-CA
This is a perfect little studio apartment for two or three people. I found the location to be very central and the surrounding beaches were amazing. The complex has an immaculate pool and hot tub which we used every day. This unit in particular has been well maintained and has everything you need. The owners are very helpful and were always available to give some assistance. The free phone calls and the big screen tv were just bonuses as the unit itself was as comfortable like home. I will definitely come back again and have told my friends and family that if you are to visit Maui - the Chilled Coconut is an awesome condo and an affordable price.
